2024-05-30

On May 24, 2024, the 17th Academic Seminar on the Development of Pain Discipline, hosted by the Chinese Medical Education Association and the "Chinese Journal of Pain Medicine", and organized by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, with the assistance of SPINENDOS and Donghong Zhiyuan, successfully demonstrated spinal endoscopic surgery. This surgical demonstration not only showcased the exquisite and advanced modern medical technology but also provided new ideas and directions for the treatment of spinal diseases in the future.

During the surgery, Professor Deng Zhongliang, Professor Chu Lei, and Professor Yan Zhengjian from the Orthopedic Spine Surgery Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University successfully completed endoscopic lumbar stenosis decompression, cervical decompression, lateral recess stenosis, and bilateral channel fusion surgery operations, thanks to their rich experience and superb skills. The entire surgical process was safe and efficient, with minimal intraoperative bleeding and rapid recovery for the patients. This not only reflects the professional quality of the medical team at the Orthopedic Spine Surgery Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University but also proves the superiority and feasibility of spinal endoscopic surgery in the treatment of spinal diseases.

The success of this surgical demonstration is attributed to the thorough preparation and careful planning by the medical team at the Orthopedic Spine Surgery Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Detailed emergency plans and operational procedures were developed to address various situations that might arise during the surgery, ensuring that the operation could proceed smoothly. Additionally, the live broadcast invited Professor Yang Yang from the China-Japan Friendship Hospital and Professor Shi Lei from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to host and communicate on-site, jointly discussing the technical difficulties and solutions of spinal endoscopic surgery.
