Surgical Live Broadcast
Professor Yu Bin from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital demonstrated online the dual-channel decompression surgery based on spinal endoscopy. The case was diagnosed as L5S1 lumbar disc herniation with radiculopathy and incomplete paralysis of the lower limbs. During the dual-channel surgery using spinal endoscopy, the nerve root decompression was completed in less than an hour. Professor Yu stated that the dual-channel surgery based on spinal endoscopy not only has the advantage of using an external ring saw to quickly handle bony tissue but also uses the Donghong Zhiyuan hollow drill that perfectly fits the size of the spinal endoscope. The ring saw protective sleeve effectively protects soft tissue, allowing for safe and efficient handling of bony tissue under visualization. Additionally, the dual-channel surgery can utilize open surgical instruments, making the use of instruments more flexible. The operational and observation channels can be switched at any time according to needs. During the surgery, Professor Yu used the Donghong 2.0mm bone biting forceps to handle bony tissue, making the surgical operation flexible and efficient, significantly shortening the surgical time, which has great advantages for handling stenosis cases.
Conference Summary
Professor Jiang Yue from Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital summarized the conference, thanking the Spinal Endoscopy Academy for providing the communication platform and the experts for sharing their latest research results to standardize spinal endoscopy operations. He hopes to explore more possibilities of spinal endoscopy with more colleagues in the future, learning and progressing together.
The successful convening of this conference helps to strengthen academic exchanges among experts in the field of spinal minimally invasive surgery and promotes the vigorous development of minimally invasive spinal surgery. The original intention of the "Endoscopic Art" series of activities is to provide a platform for communication and interaction, facilitating experts to gather and discuss the development of the orthopedic industry, exploring the relationship between heaven and man, understanding the changes of ancient and modern times, gathering the strengths of various schools, and sharing insights. Participants with common aspirations gather here to discuss academics, develop together, and create a future.
